Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp peanut oil










  • 500g Coles Australian No Added Hormones Beef Rump Steak, thinly sliced










  • 2 tsp sesame oil










  • 1 red onion, cut into wedges










  • 5cm-piece ginger, peeled, cut into matchsticks










  • 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced










  • 2 tbsp Chinese cooking wine










  • 1/2 cup (125ml) black bean sauce










  • 1 bunch baby buk choy, quartered










  • 1/2 cup (75g) cashews, toasted










  • 1/2 cup basil leaves










  • 450g pkt microwavable jasmine rice









  • Select all ingredients

3 Method Steps






  • Heat 1 tsp of the peanut oil in a wok or large deep frying pan over high heat. Add one-quarter of the beef and stir-fry for 1-2 mins or until brown all over. Transfer to a large bowl. Repeat, in 3 more batches, with the remaining peanut oil and beef.





  • Heat the sesame oil in wok or pan over high heat. Add the onion, ginger and garlic and stir-fry for 2 mins or until light golden. Add the wine. Bring to the boil. Return beef to the wok or pan with the black bean sauce and buk choy. Stir-fry for 2-3 mins or until the buk choy just begins to wilt. Remove from heat. Add the cashews and basil and toss to combine.





  • Heat the rice in the microwave following packet directions. Divide among serving bowls. Top with the beef stir-fry.
